About Our Church
Our congregation consists of people from many different backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common - a passion for Christ and sharing Him with others.
Mission & Purpose
The Tarrant Bible Methodist Church exists to exalt God’s Name. Our desire is to glorify and honor God through heartfelt worship. He alone is worthy of worship and honor and when we gather together as the Body of Christ we gather to return to Him the praise He deserves. We invite you to join us as we exalt God’s Name! “To God be the glory, great things He has done!”
Part of the responsibility of the church is to equip its members for the work of whatever ministry Christ has called them to. We are committed to teaching, equipping, and building up God’s people through Sunday School, Small Groups, various training and conference opportunities, solid Bible preaching, and other means. We want every believer to be armed with the “shield of faith that extinguishes the flaming missiles of the evil one,” and with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Our church exists to express God’s love. God’s love is agape, an unselfish, endless and boundless love that was demonstrated for us when Christ died for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8) When we receive Christ into our hearts, the love of God is made manifest in us (1 John 4:9). For this reason, the love of God glows from the heart of a true disciple of Christ. Expressing love for one another is the evidence that marks us as Christians. Love is also commanded by the Lord. If we love God, then we are to love one another also. We are to love those for whom Christ died. Since Jesus died for the whole world (John 3:16) this means that Christians are not only to show Christ’s love to fellow believers, but also to those who do not yet know Christ as their Savior. It is our desire to demonstrate Christ’s selfless love to those all around us.
Just before ascended back into Heaven Jesus gave us the Great Commission to evangelize His world. Our mandate is clear – we are to go and make disciples. Our sincere desire and endeavor as a church is to fulfill this Great Commission. We believe Tarrant is our “Jerusalem,” Birmingham is our “Judea and Samaria,” and then we seek to help reach the “end of the earth” with the message of full salvation from sin.
The whole world, although engulfed in a myriad of problems and concerns, has one ultimate crisis that must be settled in the heart of each living soul. Mankind is tragically mired in sin, is at odds with God and doomed to eternal death. Every life issue drastically pales in comparison to the eternal consequences of sin. The only solution to mankind’s crisis is found in the forgiveness and salvation made possible by the sacrificial death of Jesus. It is for this reason God offered His only beloved Son for our sake. And it is also for this reason that Jesus’ parting words to his disciples commissioned them to tell everyone everywhere about the good news of salvation through Christ.
…with the message of Full Salvation from Sin
We believe and teach that a victorious Christian life is possible for all believers through the experience of both forgiveness of sins and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all men and women who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life.
We believe
that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit.
We believe
that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, and we seek to establish our faith and actions on its teachings.
We believe
God desires for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the church is to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.
“By salvation I mean not barely according to the vulgar notion deliverance from hell or going to heaven but a present deliverance from sin a restoration of the soul to its primitive health its original purity a recovery of the divine nature the renewal of our souls after the image of God in righteousness and true holiness in justice mercy and truth.”– John Wesley
